Thyroid disease is diagnosed by blood tests, thyroid scan

The thyroid gland makes, stores, and releases two hormones — T4 (thyroxine) and T3 (triiodothyronine). Thyroid hormones control the rate at which every part of your body works. This is called your metabolism. Thyroids gland disease will affect most parts of our body. Thyroids disease affect women more then men and treatment of thyroid disease are simple and safe.

Thyroid disease is diagnosed by your symptoms, an exam and tests as some disease are similar to the symptoms. The doctor will use tests to find the exact cause of the problem by blood tests, thyroid scan and ultrasound exam if the women is during her pregnancy time.

Hypothyroidism disorder known as thyroidtis and it cause of the inflammation of the thyroids gland as the thyroid gland is not working very hard enough and cause the enlargement of the thyroid gland called Hashimoto disease. Taking diet that has very little in iodine can cause hypothyroidism.
